Questions venues ask.

Getting Started

What is Streamood?

Streamood is an AI background-music service for businesses — cafés, restaurants, gyms, retail, spas, hotels, offices. Instead of subscribing to a playlist library, you describe the atmosphere you want in a sentence and the music is written for you while it plays. Tracks are generated by AI rather than licensed from a record label, so no label or artist holds rights in what you hear (Terms §5–§6). Music generation: Powered by Stability AI. Every venue runs its own stream, and a stream can be switched or paused at any time.

How do I generate music?

Open the Player and describe what the room needs — for example “warm acoustic for a slow Sunday brunch”. Or tap one of the genre chips and edit from there — the set is chosen for your language, and after your first week it follows the genres you generate most. Tap Generate Stream: the first track starts within seconds, and the next one is already being written while it plays, so the stream never breaks. While a stream is running the prompt is locked — tap “New Stream” to change the brief. You can write in any language; the prompt is translated before composing.

Does the music keep playing when I lock the phone?

Yes. Playback continues in the background, with controls on the lock screen and in Control Centre or the notification shade, and the sound goes out to whatever the venue already uses — Bluetooth, AirPlay, a cable. The music is composed on our servers as you listen, so Streamood needs an internet connection: if it drops, playback pauses and picks up when the connection is back.

Is the music safe to play publicly?

Tracks are generated on demand by AI models that produce original output. No party — Streamood included — claims authorship or copyright in them, and none of them is registered in a collecting society’s repertoire (Terms §5–§6). Whether a music-user fee applies to your venue depends on your jurisdiction: the rules for AI-generated music differ by country and are still settling. Determining that and complying with it is your responsibility, and Streamood neither collects nor remits such charges (Terms §4 and §8).

Does the music have vocals?

No. Every stream is instrumental — no vocals, no lyrics, no spoken word. We generate background music that stays behind conversation, not in front of it.

Venues

What is a venue?

A venue is one physical location with its own account — one café, one gym, one shop. Each venue signs in separately and runs its own stream, so the bar and the terrace can play different music at the same time. Starter covers one venue. Growth covers five: your own and four more that you invite.

How do I add a venue?

Open Profile → Venues and send an invite to the email address that venue will use. They get a link, set a password, and from then on sign in on their own device with their own stream. You stay the owner: the plan, the billing and the venue list are yours.

Can two people share one venue account?

No, and that is deliberate: only one device can be signed in to an account at a time. If someone signs in elsewhere, the first device is signed out mid-stream — in a room full of guests that means the music stops. Two rooms that need music at the same time need two venues.

Does each venue have its own library?

No — there is one library for the whole account. Whatever any venue generates lands in that shared library, and every venue sees it. The only personal thing is favourites: the hearts are yours, the tracks are everyone's.

What happens if I remove a venue?

The account stays, but without your plan it has no access to anything — no generation, no playback. The tracks do not go anywhere and remain yours: everything that venue generated was going into your shared library from the start, not into one of its own. Invite it back and its access returns.

Library & Tracks

Where are my tracks saved?

Every track you generate is added to your Library automatically — there is no separate “save” action. Open the Library tab to browse, filter by genre, search by the words you used to make a track, or replay anything from before.

What does the heart icon do then?

The heart marks a track as a favourite, so you can find it again quickly. It does not control whether the track is in the library — it always is. Liked tracks can be filtered separately.

Can I delete tracks from my library?

Yes — tap the trash icon on any track in the Library tab. This cannot be undone, and the track also drops out of any stream currently using it.

How many tracks can I store?

There is no limit on library size. Everything you generate stays tied to your account.

Subscription & Billing

What happens after my free trial?

When the 14 free days end, the plan renews automatically at the price shown on the Subscription page and everything keeps working. If a plan lapses, generation and playback pause; your library stays untouched and unlocks the moment a plan is active again.

Can I switch between monthly and annual billing?

Yes, on the Subscription page. When it takes effect depends on where you bought the plan. Moving to a more expensive plan applies straight away. Moving to a cheaper one usually waits until the period you have already paid for runs out — on the App Store and Google Play that is the stores’ own rule, not ours. The app shows the date when a change is queued.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscription → Manage Subscription → Cancel. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for — nothing is taken away the moment you cancel. After that generation and playback pause, while your library stays intact. Plans bought inside the iOS or Android app are cancelled in the store’s own subscription settings; we cannot cancel those for you.

Do you offer refunds?

Yes. How a refund works depends on where the subscription was taken out — write to support@streamood.app and we will take it from there.

Account & Security

How do I change my password?

Profile → Change Password. You will need your current password plus a new one of at least 8 characters, with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter and a number.

What is two-factor authentication?

With 2FA on, a one-time code is emailed to you every time you sign in. You can turn it on under Profile → Two-Factor Authentication.

Can I use the same account on several devices?

Your library and settings follow the account anywhere, but only one device can be signed in at a time: signing in somewhere else signs this one out. That is why each venue gets its own account instead of sharing yours.
