Streamood Streamood

Terms of Service

Last updated: October 15, 2026 (rev. 7)

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Streamood (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service. These Terms form a binding agreement between you (or the business you represent) and Streamood Technologies L.L.C S.O.C (“Streamood”, “we”, “us”).

2. What Streamood does

Streamood is an AI-powered background-music service for businesses. You enter prompts describing a mood or style, and we generate continuous, original audio tracks tuned to that brief — suitable for streaming in cafés, gyms, retail, hospitality and similar venues.

To keep the stream fast and continuous, the Service may also play a track that was generated earlier for a similar brief, including one generated for another customer. Generated tracks are therefore not exclusive to you.

3. Your account

To use the Service you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction)
  • Provide accurate registration details (email, business name, industry)
  • Keep your password confidential — you’re responsible for activity under your account
  • Notify us if you suspect unauthorised access

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or place the Service at risk.

4. Plans, trial and billing

New subscriptions start with a 14-day free period. A payment method is required up front; nothing is charged during the free period, and the plan renews automatically at the price shown at checkout unless you cancel before the free period ends. The free period is offered once per customer. Plans are billed per account, monthly or annually, depending on the plan you choose at checkout. Starter covers one venue; Growth covers up to five — your own and up to four venue accounts you invite (see Section 5).

  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date
  • You can cancel at any time from your account — service continues until the end of the paid period
  • Refunds are handled under the policy of the seller of record — see “Refunds and cancellations” below
  • We may change pricing for future renewals with at least 30 days’ notice

Fair use. “Unlimited tracks” means we do not cap the number of tracks your venues can play in normal business use. To keep the Service available to every customer, we apply technical limits on how often new tracks can be requested (for example, a maximum number of generation requests per hour), and part of what you hear may come from our shared catalogue rather than being generated anew. We may limit, pause or suspend use that is automated, clearly exceeds what the venues on your plan need, or degrades the Service for other customers. Where practical, we will contact you before doing so.

Refunds and cancellations. Subscriptions bought on this website are sold by our payment provider, Polar (Polar Software, Inc., Delaware, USA), which acts as the merchant of record for those purchases. Refunds are handled under that provider’s refund policy, which forms part of the buyer terms you accept at checkout. We do not add conditions of our own to it.

Subscriptions are billed in advance for the period you choose. You can cancel at any time from your account; access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and no further charges are taken.

  • Upgrades take effect immediately. You confirm the change, and see how it will be billed, before anything is charged. During the free period a plan change charges nothing until the free period ends.
  • Downgrades take effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. Nothing is charged at the time of the change, and your access to the current plan continues until then. In the iOS and Android apps, Apple and Google apply their own rules to when a plan change takes effect.
  • Free period. New subscriptions include 14 free days. A payment method is required to start it, and nothing is charged until the free period ends — cancel before then and no charge is made. It is offered once per customer, so a repeat subscription starts billing immediately.
  • Purchases made in the iOS or Android app are sold by Apple or Google, not by us and not by our web payment provider; those companies handle refunds for them under their own policies.

To request a refund, or if you were charged in error, contact support@streamood.app and we will take it from there. We respond within 5 business days. Nothing in these Terms limits any statutory right you may have.

This policy is written in English, and the English version is the only authoritative one — see Section 16, Language.

Venue licensing and local levies. Subscription fees cover your access to the Service. They do not include, and Streamood does not collect or remit on your behalf, any performance rights royalties, mechanical royalties, neighbouring rights, broadcast levies, music user fees or similar charges that may be imposed in your jurisdiction by collection societies, governmental bodies or other third parties. Determining whether any such charges apply to your venue and your use of AI-generated music — and complying with them where applicable — is solely your responsibility (see Section 8).

Billing channels. Subscriptions may be available through (a) direct purchase on streamood.app, where our payment provider, Polar (Polar Software, Inc.), acts as the merchant of record and is responsible for collecting and remitting applicable taxes, or (b) in-app purchase through a third-party app marketplace (Apple App Store or Google Play). Where you subscribe through a marketplace, your subscription is subject to that marketplace’s billing, renewal, refund and cancellation policies in addition to these Terms. Streamood does not control marketplace pricing, currency conversion, refund timing or payment-method restrictions.

5. Generated music and your rights

Music generated through Streamood is produced on demand using third-party AI models (see Section 6 for the underlying models and their licences). Because purely AI-generated audio generally cannot be protected by copyright, no party — including Streamood — claims authorship or copyright in the generated tracks themselves.

What we grant you, while your subscription is active, is the right to use the tracks within the scope permitted by the underlying model licences. Specifically you may:

  • Stream the generated tracks in your registered venue(s) as background music, on the understanding that you have independently assessed and accepted any public-performance compliance obligations applicable in your jurisdiction (see Section 8). A “venue” means a physical commercial location operated by your business and registered against your subscription; in the Service, each venue is a separate account (your own, or a venue account you invited under your plan). Broadcasting, webcasting, public transmission outside the registered venue(s), or any form of public communication other than on-premise background streaming is not included in this grant.
  • Save tracks to your Streamood library for re-use
  • Use them as background audio in your own short-form videos and social media for your venue

You may not:

  • Resell, redistribute or sublicense the tracks as standalone audio products
  • Register generated tracks with PROs, distribution platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.) or claim authorship
  • Use generated tracks to train or improve AI models (see Section 6)
  • Use the tracks in any way that would breach the underlying model licence referenced in Section 6

If your subscription ends, you may keep using already-downloaded tracks for non-commercial reference, but new generation and library streaming will be paused.

6. Underlying AI models

Streamood does not train its own audio models. Music generation, translation, prompt expansion, titling and semantic search are performed by third-party open-weight AI models, each operating under its own licence. We fine-tune some of the supporting models on our own data (for example, the model behind semantic search), but not the model that generates the music.

Music is generated with Stable Audio, a model by Stability AI, used under the Stability AI Community License. Powered by Stability AI.

No AI training. You may not use Tracks, in whole or in part, to train, fine-tune or otherwise develop or improve any machine learning or artificial intelligence model.

The rights you receive in Section 5 are passed through from those underlying model licences and are limited by them. If a licence imposes a restriction (for example, prohibits certain commercial uses or requires attribution), that restriction also applies to your use of the resulting tracks.

According to publicly available information from the model providers, these models have been trained on data sourced from licensed catalogues, public-domain corpora and / or openly licensed datasets. Streamood relies on those representations in good faith but does not independently audit any provider’s training data and cannot warrant the lawful provenance of every element of every output. See Sections 12 (No warranty of non-infringement) and 13 (Indemnification).

The models are trained on material cleared at source — licensed catalogues, public-domain corpora or openly licensed datasets — not on repertoire administered by collecting societies. Streamood holds no licence from any such society and needs none: no party claims authorship or copyright in purely AI-generated audio (Section 5), so there is no repertoire in which these tracks could be registered.

This describes how the models were built, not a warranty about any individual output. Streamood does not audit provider training data, and your responsibility under Section 8 is unchanged.

We may change the underlying models from time to time as the ecosystem evolves. Material changes that affect the rights granted under Section 5 will be communicated under Section 15 (Changes to these Terms).

7. Your prompts and inputs

You retain ownership of the prompts you enter. By submitting prompts, you grant Streamood a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to use them to provide the Service — including generating audio, improving the quality of the model, and analytics in aggregate, anonymised form.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Generate audio that infringes third-party intellectual property (e.g. prompts that name specific commercial artists or copyrighted tracks)
  • Produce content that is hateful, harassing, sexually explicit or otherwise illegal
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape or overload the Service or its infrastructure
  • Resell access to the Service or share credentials with anyone outside your venue
  • Represent to any third party that Streamood determines, certifies or is responsible for the performance-rights status of generated tracks in your jurisdiction
  • Use the Service in any jurisdiction in which doing so is unlawful or in which a competent authority has expressly prohibited the public use of AI-generated music

We may remove content and suspend accounts that violate these rules.

Your compliance responsibility. The legal status of AI-generated music in relation to performance rights, collection societies and public-use levies varies by country and continues to evolve. You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for determining the legal requirements applicable to public use of music in your venue(s) under the law of your jurisdiction, for obtaining any licences or making any payments that may be required by such law, and for responding to any inquiry, inspection or claim from a collection society, regulator or other third party concerning the music you stream through the Service.

9. Intellectual property

Streamood, including the AI models, software, brand and website, remains our property or that of our licensors. These Terms grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence to use the Service — nothing more. The licence covering generated tracks is described in Section 5.

10. Service availability and warranties

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, security, or uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements, that any specific output will be suitable for your venue, or that defects will be corrected. Planned maintenance, third-party outages (cloud providers, AI model providers, payment processors), regulatory actions affecting AI services, or force-majeure events (including but not limited to natural disasters, war, civil unrest, sanctions, pandemics, internet infrastructure failures) may affect access. Streamood is not liable for any consequences of such events.

11. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Streamood is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, lost profits, lost revenue or business interruption arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid for the Service in that period.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable consumer-protection law.

12. No warranty of non-infringement

AI-generated audio is produced by statistical models trained on large datasets. While the underlying models referenced in Section 6 are designed and represented by their providers to generate original output, Streamood does not warrant that any particular track is free from similarity to, or claims of infringement by, third-party works (including musical compositions, recordings, trademarks or other intellectual-property rights).

You acknowledge that:

  • Streamood does not perform exhaustive similarity checks against existing copyrighted catalogues for every generated track
  • The underlying model providers do not offer Streamood any indemnification or warranty regarding outputs under the licences we operate under
  • Any risk of third-party claims arising from your use of generated tracks is borne by you, subject only to the liability cap in Section 11

If you are made aware of a credible claim that a specific track generated through Streamood reproduces a protected third-party work, contact us at hello@streamood.app and we will remove the track from your library and take reasonable steps to prevent similar output going forward.

No representation regarding performance rights.Without limiting the foregoing, Streamood makes no representation or warranty that the use of generated tracks in your venue(s) is exempt from, or compliant with, the requirements of any performance rights organisation, collection society or similar body in your jurisdiction. You assume all risk and responsibility in this respect. Streamood will not act as your representative in any dispute with such a body and any cooperation we provide on a goodwill basis (for example, confirming that a track was generated through the Service) does not constitute legal advice or a defence of your position.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Streamood and its officers, employees and contractors from and against any claim, demand, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of:

  • Your breach of these Terms, including the acceptable-use rules in Section 8
  • Prompts you submit that intentionally reference, imitate or attempt to reproduce specific copyrighted works, performers, brands or trademarks
  • Use of generated tracks outside the rights granted in Section 5 (for example, reselling them as standalone audio products, or registering them with PROs or distribution platforms)
  • Use of the Service in violation of applicable law
  • Any claim, demand or proceeding brought against Streamood by a performance rights organisation, collection society, regulator or other third party in connection with your public use of generated tracks in your venue(s) or your failure to obtain any licence, consent or authorisation required under the law of your jurisdiction

Streamood will notify you in writing of any claim subject to this section and will cooperate reasonably with your defence. You may not settle any such claim in a way that imposes obligations on Streamood without our prior written consent.

14. Termination

You may close your account at any time from Profile → Privacy & Data or by contacting support. Closing your account stops renewal of a subscription bought on streamood.app; a subscription bought in the App Store or Google Play keeps renewing until you cancel it in your Apple or Google account. If you close the account that holds the plan, the venue accounts you invited lose access at the same time. We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, or fraud. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (IP, liability, indemnification, generated-content rights) will remain in force.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll notify you by email and / or in-app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Dubai and the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Subject to mandatory local law that cannot be waived, any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by the competent courts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Nothing in this Section limits any non-waivable rights you may have under the consumer-protection law of your country of residence.

Where you obtained the Service through a third-party app marketplace (such as Apple App Store or Google Play), the marketplace’s own terms of sale and refund policies apply to that transaction, and the relevant dispute-resolution provisions of those terms take precedence over this Section to the extent of any conflict.

Language. These Terms and our Privacy Policy are written in English, and the English version is the only authoritative one. Other parts of the Service — the interface, in-app help and our blog — are available in several languages for convenience, and any translation of these Terms, whether produced by us, by a machine or by a third party, is provided for information only. In the event of any discrepancy between the English version and a translation, the English version prevails. This does not affect any right you may have under mandatory local law to receive contractual terms in your own language.

17. Data protection

Our processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, available at streamood.app/privacy, which forms part of these Terms by reference. By using the Service you confirm you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.

18. Geographic availability

The Service is offered globally subject to applicable law. Streamood does not actively market the Service in jurisdictions where its provision is restricted or prohibited and reserves the right to suspend the Service in any jurisdiction where its continued operation would expose Streamood to material legal or regulatory risk. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service is lawful in your jurisdiction.

19. Entire agreement and severability

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Streamood regarding the Service and supersede any prior or contemporaneous understandings. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force. Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of that right.

20. App marketplace distribution

If you obtain or access the Service through Apple’s App Store, Google Play or another third-party app marketplace (“Marketplace”), the following additional terms apply:

  • These Terms are between you and Streamood only, and not with the Marketplace. The Marketplace is not responsible for the Service or its content.
  • The Marketplace has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the Service. Any maintenance or support questions should be directed to hello@streamood.app.
  • In the event the Service fails to conform to any applicable warranty that cannot be disclaimed, you may notify the Marketplace and the Marketplace may refund the purchase price (if any) paid through the Marketplace. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Marketplace has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the Service.
  • Streamood, not the Marketplace, is responsible for addressing any claim you or any third party may have relating to the Service, including (a) product liability claims, (b) claims that the Service fails to conform to applicable legal or regulatory requirements, and (c) claims arising under consumer-protection, privacy or similar legislation.
  • In the event of any claim by a third party that the Service or your use of the Service infringes that third party’s intellectual property rights, Streamood, not the Marketplace, will be responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of such claim, to the extent required by these Terms.
  • You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • You agree that the Marketplace operator (and its subsidiaries) is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and has the right to enforce these Terms against you.
  • Refunds, billing disputes and subscription management for purchases made through a Marketplace are governed by that Marketplace’s terms and policies. Streamood cannot directly process refunds or cancel subscriptions initiated through a Marketplace; you must use the Marketplace’s own tools for those actions.
